Secondary teachers must monitor the implementation of louisiana standards via the curriculum and interventions programs, assisting with planning, modeling lessons, and providing professional development as needed. They are responsible for planning and implementing a blended learning environment based on standards, maintaining high behavioral expectations, and preparing students for academic achievement.

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher or at least 24 credit hours in the content area, along with a valid teaching certificate/License for grades 9-12 being highly preferred. Candidates should ideally have experience with tap, core knowledge, or blended learning, and possess at least two years of successful teaching experience in an urban environment.
