LIFEGUARD - Camp Timbercrest (Randolph, NY)

The lifeguard assists the waterfront director in organizing and administering waterfront activities according to gsusa, nydoh, and aca standards, which includes enforcing safety rules and assessing participant swimming abilities. Responsibilities also involve teaching water safety, participating in required training, and acting as a unit counselor when not actively lifeguarding.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old, possess current cpr for the professional rescuer and lifeguard certification (Arc or equivalent), and must have the american red cross waterfront module or be willing to obtain it before pre-Camp. Applicants must also be willing to abide by all policies, maintain girl scout membership, and demonstrate sound judgment, enthusiasm, and stamina for working in an overnight camp setting.
