Assistant Life After 21 Instructor

Doylestown, PA | Part Time, Hourly | Monday - Friday

8:45am - 4:15pm | $14.50 - $16 per hour

What is needed for this job as an Assistant Life After 21 Instructor

  • 21+ years of age
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health concerns in a recreational or educational setting
  • Degree completed or in progress in a related field
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families and other staff members
  • Excellent observation skills to monitor individuals physical, and emotional well-being
  • Are able to perform life saving skills in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)
  • The responsibilities we will trust you with as an Assistant Life After 21 Instructor:
  • Working with 3-4 participants daily, engaging in activities that support the program pillars
  • Assisting the Lead Instructor in monitoring the day to day functions of the Life After 21 program
  • Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with disabilities
  • Adapt program activities and provide support to meet participant's needs
  • Complete incident/injury reports and other documentation as needed
  • Log medications and obtain signatures from caregiver on a daily basis for medications administered
  • Take attendance of participants
  • Support the training and development of new hires
