  • Matthew Catholic School 6th-8th Grade Religion Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year Serving a diverse community of over 600 students from Kindergarten – 8th grade, our teachers collaborate with each other to educate our students to a high standard, in both academics and character.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching in a Catholic school (and ideally at the junior high level) Experience teaching Religion Valid California teaching credential (or equivalent from another state) OR in the process of obtaining a CA Teaching Credential MA Degree Expertise with technology including various devices, document camera, Google, SmartBoard

Responsibilities

Support Saint Matthew Catholic School’s mission, philosophy, and SLE’s Prepare, deliver, and assess (engaging and interactive) lessons/units based on Archdiocesan Curriculum Guidelines Document student learning and report (communicate) regularly to administration and parents Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, students, and parents Supervise students inside and outside of the classroom, maintaining good rapport with students and effective classroom management. Perform all other duties outlined in our Faculty Handbook or assigned by the Leadership Team. Salary & Benefits: Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt position.
