Dental Assistant

This role involves providing highly specialized dental assisting support to providers at the wvu school of dentistry, including assisting during patient examination and treatment, preparing patients, and maintaining sterile operating fields. Responsibilities also cover preparing materials, processing images, performing expanded functions after training, recording treatment in electronic records, and participating in student training.

Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, plus either successful completion of a dental/Surgical assisting program or one year of relevant experience substituting for the formal education. Preferred qualifications include a certificate in dental assisting.
