Respiratory Extern

This position provides limited respiratory care support services under the supervision of a licensed practitioner, assisting in providing care to patients on inpatient units. Responsibilities include performing aerosol therapy, suctioning, oxygen therapy, and patient education while maintaining unit safety and orderliness.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in the senior year of an accredited respiratory care program and have at least one year of respiratory training within that program. Completion or scheduling of the pediatric clinical portion before the didactic portion of the externship is also required, along with basic life support certification.
