Job description
- Overview EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE Non-Certified Substitute Teaching High school diploma or GED equivalent and completion of Substitute Effective Teacher Training (SETT) OR Effective Teacher Training (ETT).
- You may complete the online course (http://appgarden1.app-garden.com/subtraining/wakenc.pdf) via the App-Garden University.
- OR; You may take the SETT/ETT course at a NC community college.
- Upon completion of the SETT/ETT, please upload your certificate of completion to your online application.
- Please Note: WCPSS will accept App-Garden certificates of completion from other N.C. school systems.
- Certified Substitute Teaching WCPSS will accept a state issued teaching license (any state, current or expired) in lieu of completing the SETT course.
- Current Student Teachers In lieu of the SETT/ETT course, you may upload ONE of the following to satisfy the SETT requirement.
- A letter from the university stating when student teaching was completed and a reference from the cooperating teacher OR; Provide an official/unofficial transcript showing completion of student teaching.
