Job Description

Position Title: Compliance Manager

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Term: Twelve (12) month position, salaried

The Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher at GLA designs rigorous, standards-aligned lessons that promote critical thinking and empower scholars to take ownership of their learning. This role requires fostering a safe, inclusive classroom environment while encouraging curiosity and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver PA Core standards-aligned ELA lessons.
  • Plan and implement class activities, projects, and assessments, providing timely feedback.
  • Establish clear objectives and maintain positive relationships with scholars, families, and staff.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, adjusting instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and needs.
  • Attend professional development and training to enhance instructional practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO, Principal, or Academy Leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Preferred: Valid PA teaching certification for Grades 4-8 English.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000, based on experience and education.
  • Eligible for up to $5,000 in sign-on bonuses.
