Position Summary

Behavioral Health Allies (BHA) is seeking energetic, compassionate, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care and support to adolescents and young adults with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and severe behavioral challenges. In this role, you will help individuals build independence, support daily routines, and promote health, safety, and overall well-being both at home and in the community.

Pay Rate

  • Our compensation is competitive within the market. The starting rate for this position begins at $21.00 per hour, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications.
  • What
  • You’ll Do: Support implementation of individualized care plans and behavioral support plans as directed by clinical staff. Assist with crisis management, redirection, and behavior support interventions. Provide support with activities of daily living including hygiene, toileting, cleaning, cooking, medication management, and budgeting. Help individuals build independence and practice daily living skills. Transport individuals to appointments, errands, and community activities. Support participation in activities at home and in the community. Maintain accurate documentation and collect required data. Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for individuals served. Promote dignity, well-being, and person-centered care in every interaction.

  • For: High school diploma or equivalent required Valid driver’s license required At least 6 months of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Experience working with adolescents or young adults in a behavioral health setting preferred Bachelor’s degree welcomed but not required (Psychology, Social Services, Special Education, or related field) CNA experience is not required, but related experience is valued Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and supportive in behavioral or crisis situations
