K-5th Substitute Part Time Math Tutor (Los Angeles, CA)

*This role is open to the Los Angeles Area including North LA, South LA, East LA, and West LA.*

We are able to accomplish this by partnering with schools, outreach programs, and other college and career access organizations to provide efficient and effective college and career access programming and classroom-based test preparation.

Job responsibilities

• Subjects to be taught: Math
• Grades: K - 5th
• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Tutors will have access to information about class assignments
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staff
• Partner with Study Smart Tutor’s Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students

Qualifications

• MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired
• In-person availability is required
• Scheduled hours: Must be available Mondays through Fridays from 8 AM to 1 PM PST
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.
