The graduate nurse residency program aims to successfully transition the nurse resident into a competent practitioner by providing patient-Centered care that is safe, effective, timely, and equitable. Residents will also advance critical thinking, participate in research, and become engaged as entry-Level nurse leaders.

Requirements summary

Candidates must be graduating or have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and possess less than six months of rn experience or be a new graduate nurse. Applicants must hold a valid connecticut rn license and bls certification, with the rn license number required before the hospital orientation start date.
