Bishop Flaget School 3-Year-Old Preschool Teacher Full-Time Catholic Preferred but Not Required Bishop Flaget School, located at 570 Parsons Avenue in Chillicothe, Ohio, is seeking a 3-Year-Old Preschool Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Summary
- The 3-Year-Old Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports the spiritual, emotional, social, and cognitive development of young children. The successful candidate will foster curiosity, independence, wonder, and joy while integrating Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom life. Familiarity with or training in the Montessori Method and/or Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is strongly preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans for 3-year-old students
- Foster a warm, faith-filled classroom environment rooted in Catholic values
- Support students’ social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Integrate prayer, virtue formation, and age-appropriate faith activities into the daily routine
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning space
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student growth and needs
- Observe, assess, and document student progress in accordance with school policies
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the holistic formation of students
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school community events
- Uphold and model the mission and identity of Bishop Flaget School
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Familiarity with or training in Montessori and/or CGS strongly preferred
- Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks
- Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training [https://columbuscatholic.org/safe]
- Commitment to Catholic education and child-centered learning
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a joyful, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Practicing Catholic preferred but not required
