  • Youth entering residential care are traumatized and sometimes in crisis.
  • As a Youth Care Worker in our residential program, you are a part of a team that provides a range of mental health services to our youth.

What you would be doing

  • You would be the professional staff member who provides supervision for the youth in their residential home
  • You would know the joy of training, modeling, and skill-building for the youth
  • Through individual and group instruction, you would teach the youth skills in daily living, recreational activities, socialization, and independent living.
  • Your efforts with the youth would empower them toward the goals outlined in their Individual Treatment Plans and the OHU Residential Program Plans.
  • You would be trained in the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) approved behavior modification program (receiving a certification!)
  • You will be a vital part of the youth’s growth and development.
  • Provides care and treatment to youth that is strength-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered.

Education
