Professional Mentor "Friend"

Friends serve as positive role models to eight elementary children, developing loving, caring, and sustained relationships with each one by setting expectations, nurturing strengths, and teaching life and academic skills. Responsibilities also include partnering with caregivers, deepening cultural connections for youth, and maintaining thorough documentation of activities.

Candidates need either a 2 or 4-Year degree with direct experience working with children, or 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Essential requirements include the ability to develop trusting, long-Term relationships, practice cultural humility, and maintain necessary certifications like first aid/Cpr.
