Associate Teacher (26-27)

Associate teachers are expected to teach curricula aligned with common core standards and social-Emotional skills, while also providing necessary coverage for absent teachers on both short- And long-Term bases. They must establish and maintain standards for student behavior, support school leadership, and regularly assess student progress to ensure academic success.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and either hold a valid california substitute teaching permit or be eligible to obtain one. Essential qualities include maintaining high behavioral and academic expectations for all students, demonstrating excellent knowledge of child development, and showing a commitment to serving students in underserved communities.
