- Nebraska Medicine includes two hospitals, the state's largest and highest rated Nebraska Medical Center and Bellevue Medical Center, along with more than 70 primary care and specialty clinics.
- This is a non-paid clinical experience that is a supplement to the requirements of your academic program.
- Your application will be reviewed based on department/preceptor availability, affiliation agreements with your institution, and other factors.
- Please allow two weeks for a response.
- Per Nebraska Medicine policy and academic partner accreditation guidelines, students and their institutions should NOT directly contact potential preceptors.
- As there are many factors that are considered for placement, we can not guarantee a specific preceptor request.
- All placements must start with the application request to be considered and reviewed.
- Most applications must be submitted at least 1 month in advance of the anticipated start date of your placement (some exceptions apply such as for Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner student placement requests).
- If your institution does not have an affiliation agreement with Nebraska Medicine, it is recommended to apply at least 3 months in advance of the anticipated start date.
