Core responsibilities
The co-Occurring professional delivers advanced clinical services, primarily providing group therapy and individual counseling for individuals with co-Occurring substance abuse and mental health conditions, integrating treatment within a 12 step, abstinence-Based model. This role involves participating in a multidisciplinary team for patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, and care planning, with potential for assuming leadership and supervisory duties.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in behavioral health and hold a license to independently practice mental health and sud services in california (E.g., lmft, lcsw, lpcc). A minimum of two years of freedom from chemical dependency and current cpr certification are also required.
