Core responsibilities
The teacher plans and executes daily lessons aligned with the program curriculum and each student's individual education program (Iep), while also participating in the development of these ieps. Responsibilities include functioning as part of the multi-Disciplinary team, supervising classroom aides, attending to student health and welfare, and maintaining necessary parent communication.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree along with the appropriate and valid special education certification required by the state department of education. Experience with applied behavior analysis methodology and functional life skills settings is preferred, alongside holding current cpr and first aid certificates.
