26-27 School Year: Special Education Teachers (4th, 5th or 6th Grade)

Special education teachers provide tailored learning activities to help students reach their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social potential, which includes developing or modifying curricula to ensure success on individualized education program (Iep) goals. Responsibilities also involve facilitating rigorous, culturally responsive instruction across core subjects and real-World project-Based learning.

Candidates must possess a valid georgia teaching certification, or be eligible/Willing to pursue one, and hold a bachelor's degree, with higher salaries awarded for master's degrees. A minimum of two years of previous teaching experience is strongly preferred, especially in k-3 or inclusive of culturally-Relevant project-Based learning.
