The Learning Experience – Hell’s Kitchen is seeking dependable and flexible Floater Teachers to support classrooms throughout our early childhood center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children of different ages and being part of a collaborative teaching team.

Floaters assist classrooms serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children while helping maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities: Provide classroom support across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as needed

Assist Lead Teachers with daily activities and routines

Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment

Support transitions, meals, playtime, and end-of-day routines

Engage children in play-based learning activities and positive interactions

Maintain classroom ratios and assist teachers during busy times

Follow all NYC Department of Health childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications: High school diploma or higher required

Early childhood education or childcare experience preferred

Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working with multiple age groups

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Must meet all NYC childcare licensing and background requirements
