Core responsibilities
Behavior technicians work one-On-One with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans designed by a board certified behavior analyst (Bcba). This involves using evidence-Based techniques to teach essential skills like communication and social interaction while actively working to reduce interfering behaviors.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be passionate about helping children with autism, demonstrating patience, compassion, and strong teamwork abilities, and must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or ged. Successful applicants must also be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing various physical movements, and must obtain required certifications like cpr/First aid within the onboarding period.
