TRIO Academic Counselor

The academic counselor is responsible for working with first-Generation, low-Income, and students with disabilities in the trio sss program to ensure their retention and persistence through regular meetings, progress monitoring, and faculty communication. This role also involves assisting with recruitment, managing a non-Trio caseload, collaborating with campus partners, and maintaining accurate records for grant administration.

Successful candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and 1-5 years of experience in advising or caseload management, demonstrating a commitment to trio sss goals and working effectively with diverse student populations. Essential qualifications include strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills necessary for complex problem-Solving and decision-Making.
