Summer Lifeguard (Seasonal, Part-Time)

The lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all pool patrons through active supervision, enforcing facility rules, and performing necessary water rescues or emergency first aid. Essential duties also include conducting pool chemical and temperature testing, performing routine cleaning and maintenance, and preparing accident reports.

Candidates must possess a certified red cross lifeguard training certificate, cpr for the professional rescuer, and standard first aid, although the school is willing to provide this training. Required abilities include identifying hazards, enforcing safety rules forcefully yet tactfully, conducting chemical testing, and effective oral and written communication.
