Position Summary

Provides classroom and clinical/laboratory instruction for students in the nursing major including preparation of content, assignments, and evaluation of student clinical and academic progress. Interacts with health team members in cooperating clinical agencies to facilitate student learning and to promote quality-nursing care for clients. Maintains community and clinical partnerships that support educational goals. Participates in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the total educational program.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

Master’s Degree with a major in nursing (MS or MSN) At least two years’ experience in clinical nursing as required by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations

Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of official enrollment in a doctoral program Previous teaching experience, preferably in a baccalaureate nursing program Licensure/Certifications: Licensure in Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) Other skills/knowledge: Communication and interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with students, peers, and cooperating clinical agencies to provide an environment conducive to student learning OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
