Candidates must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or ged, and must possess related college-Level early education coursework or a child development associate (Cda) credential. One year of professional teaching experience in child care or preschool settings is preferred, along with demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (Dap).
