Cathedral Middle & High School is seeking to fill its Campus Minister position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Salary Range

Purpose and Scope The Campus Minister helps cultivate an environment that encourages and equips all members of the school community to contribute to Cathedral's mission and the formation of a faith community responsive to the spiritual needs of students, faculty, staff, and families. In collaboration with the administration, school chaplain, faculty, staff, parents, students, and parishes, the Campus Minister helps bring to life a campus rich in the school’s charism, spiritual growth, prayer, discipleship, sacramental life, social justice, and the formation of leaders for service to the Church and society.

  • Position Responsibilities
  • Works collaboratively with the administration and school chaplain to support faith-centered programs that engage students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and benefactors.
  • Organizes, plans, and implements an effective retreat program for students that contributes to community-building, faith development, evangelization, and leadership formation.
  • Provides opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the sacraments, especially the Eucharist and Reconciliation, including penance services during Advent and Lent.
  • Coordinates liturgical celebrations, including weekly school-wide or class Masses, special liturgies, and faculty Masses, in collaboration with the school chaplain, faculty, and local clergy.
  • Promotes awareness of the Church’s missionary and service call through activities such as fundraising initiatives, service opportunities, and guest speakers.
  • Manages campus ministry activities within an established budget.
  • Collaborates with school leadership and faculty to strengthen the integration of Catholic mission and faith formation in the life of the school.
  • Encourages student participation and leadership in prayer, liturgy, retreats, service, and other faith formation opportunities.
  • Provides some classroom teaching as assigned.
  • Participates in activities, events, and responsibilities that may take place outside of the regular school day throughout the year.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, ministry, theology, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree or relevant specialization preferred.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education and the faith formation of young people.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with administration, chaplain, faculty, staff, students, families, and parishes.
