Camp Counselor

The camp counselor is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-Being of school-Age children by providing constant supervision and implementing structured, age-Appropriate activities in areas like arts, stem, and literacy. This role also involves supporting staff, guiding counselors in training, maintaining program documentation, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or ged; college credits are preferred, and a minimum of one year of youth work experience, preferably in a camp setting, is required. Candidates must also obtain child abuse prevention, health and safety certification from nys ocfs within 30 days of hire.
