Core responsibilities
The intervention specialist supports educational and behavioral goals for all students, particularly those with an individualized education program, by collaborating with teachers on intervention strategies and modifying general education curriculum as needed. Key duties include conducting diagnostic assessments, writing and implementing behavior improvement plans, facilitating iep meetings, and utilizing research-Based best practices in daily instruction.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a current state license and demonstrate knowledge of state standards and common core standards, along with experience in full-Room inclusion or co-Teaching in a resource room model. Essential qualifications include high proficiency in written and verbal communication, comfort in a growth-Focused coaching environment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
