Basic function/Description of position
- Under the direct supervision of the teacher, the successful candidate will assist in the academic program in grades 7-12 and support operations of a community-based resource center. The Resource Center Associate (RCA) is a key part of each resource center’s instructional staff. The RCA position is hourly and part-time, 25 hours per week. RCAs are role models for students and are expected to professionally represent the school at all times.

Grade student work within 72 hours of receipt and follow reference guide for grading Provide constructive feedback and commentary on student work Facilitate small group tutoring sessions in a core subject area to support students’ academic growth Collaborate with teacher to support each student’s Pathways Personalized Education Plan (PPEP) Tutor students individually across all core subject areas Assist and monitor the completion of students’ Naviance surveys Sign and abide by all educational testing affidavit Communicate with students/parents about school events, academic engagement, and progress updates Attend required professional development opportunities and staff meetings throughout the school year Assist teachers with supervision of students and maintaining a safe and supportive school culture Participate in the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) process to support student engagement Support teachers with the development of a monthly resource center calendar Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment that is inclusive for all student Perform other duties as assigned or changed with or without notice Maintain consistent and regular attendance

- REQUIREMENTS: Hearing and speaking to exchange information with students, staff, and parents; seeing to read, proofread, perform clerical tasks and periodic work on a computer screen; intermittent sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment; kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and supplies; lifting light objects; driving a vehicle to attend visits at resource centers and staff meetings.

Selection process
Qualified applicants will first complete a brief work-styles/behavioral survey and a math assessment. Candidates who successfully complete this initial phase will be invited to a panel interview with School Administrators. Candidates recommended from the first interview will advance to a final interview with the Deputy Superintendent School Services and Founding Director, and the Superintendent School Services and Founder.
