Behavioral Health Specialist

The specialist will provide individualized support services to youth and families in the foster care system enrolled in children’s waiver services, which may include family support, psychosocial rehabilitation, respite services, and employment assistance. Responsibilities also involve developing proactive safety plans, collaborating with schools, and educating families on special education rights.

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in an approved doh field of study with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with mental/Behavioral health needs, or a master's degree in a related field with 1 year of experience. Essential qualifications include the ability to work independently, strong documentation and communication skills, and comfort with technology and electronic recordkeeping.
