Registered Nurse/RN - Diabetes Clinic

The role involves providing assessment and training in diabetes self-Management skills to individuals, families, and groups in inpatient and outpatient settings using the nursing process. Responsibilities include developing individualized education plans, documenting patient progress, generating reports for physicians, and developing educational materials.

Candidates must possess current alabama rn licensure and a bachelor's degree in nursing, along with at least two years of nursing experience. Certification as a diabetes care and education specialist (Cdces) is required, or the candidate must meet specific contact-Hour requirements and obtain teaching experience to qualify for the exam within three years of hire.
