  • Classification: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt The Prevention Specialist conducts onsite programs for area schools, provides awareness activities for schools and the community, facilitates the adolescent and adult educational programs, and provides Drug Free Workplace Trainings and community trainings as needed. The Prevention Specialist reports to the Clinical Director. Principal

Duties and Responsibilities

Providing onsite program to area schools. Providing adolescent and adult educational programming. Assist with youth prevention programming development as needed. Consult with designated school/agency/business personnel in developing policies and programs, which may include prevention, intervention, and referral techniques, etc. Develop and delivers presentations and awareness activities on chemical dependency and prevention for the community. Develops and provides Drug Free Workplace Trainings. Responsible for other duties as assigned by Clinical Director.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License An Associate Degree or past documented work experience in social work, education, psychology, or related field preferred. Certified Prevention Specialist or in process per current OHMAS standards. Subject to BCI background check, drug screen, and reference checks.
