Job description

The Level 1 Provider (Non-BCBA) supports the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based ABA services under the EIDBI benefit in Minnesota. This role blends direct clinical service delivery, training and mentorship, and administrative support to ensure teammate development, treatment fidelity, and clinic success. The Level 1 Provider operates under the supervision of a case-managing BCBA and does not practice independently. \n

Minimum Qualifications

Meets Minnesota EIDBI Level 1 Provider requirements Minimum of 6 months experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Active RBT credential in good standing Completion of a bachelor's degree Demonstrated competency in ABA principles and ethical practice Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Clinical Services

Provide 4 hours per day of direct therapy (50%) Assist with assessments and intakes Supplement caregiver guidance meetings Make modifications to treatment plans under the immediate supervision of the case-managing BCBA Conduct fidelity checks for all current teammates to ensure treatment integrity

Initial Onboarding Responsibilities

Serve as the mentor for all new hires during their first 30 days, providing guidance, modeling, and support Overlap in at least two (2) shadow sessions for each new teammate Act as an assistant assessor for RBT competency checks Complete one (1) of the three trials of the Bloomwell Skills Competency Support ongoing skill development for teammates through modeling and feedback

Administrative & Operational Responsibilities

Prepare all required training materials prior to teammate onboarding Ensure all teammates remain on track with their training schedules Communicate proactively with the Clinical Director (CD) and Clinic Success Manager (CSM) regarding training progress, delays, or barriers Assist with the development and upkeep of clinic-specific training materials for team meetings Participate as an active member of the Sunshine Committee, supporting teammate engagement and clinic culture.

Treatment Requirements

  • At least 50% of the provider’s time will be spent providing 1:1 direct therapy to patients. Following an initial probationary training period, the teammate may conduct up to 15 additional treatment hours per month under the supervision of a BCBA (e.g. treatment planning, observation and direction, caregiver guidance). Treatment Minimum Hours 97153 – Direct Therapy (AM sessions preferred) 20 hours per week 97155 – Pro Mod 5 hours per week H0032 – Treatment Planning 1 hour per kid per month 97156 – Caregiver Guidance As needed per the direction of the BCBA, with demonstrated competency***
  • 97157 – Group Caregiver Guidance Up to 4 hours per month at the discretion of the BCBA with demonstrated competency.

Note

If a Level 1 RBT Specialist has 3 consecutive weeks billing less than 32 cumulative treatment hours, they will be at risk of termination.
