Position Overview

We are seeking a warm, patient, and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant Teacher to support our Montessori classroom serving children ages 2.5 to 6 years. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in the Montessori philosophy. This role involves assisting the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the curriculum and activities Support children in daily routines, including work time, transitions, and outdoor play Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment Observe and support children’s social, emotional, and academic development Foster independence, respect, and a love of learning in each child Prepare and maintain classroom materials and learning areas Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times

Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Previous experience working with young children (ages 2.5–6) preferred Knowledge of or willingness to learn Montessori philosophy and methods Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, nurturing, and dependable personality Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting Physical Requirements:
