The special needs assistant provides individualized classroom support to children with special needs and challenging behaviors to ensure their engagement and development. They also assist teachers with documentation, maintain a nurturing environment, and communicate effectively with families regarding child progress.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a high school diploma or ged, dcf 45-Hour training, and a cda or fccpc credential. Experience working with children and the ability to perform heavy physical tasks are also required.
