Interns will be responsible for planning and implementing therapeutic recreation interventions and activities while maintaining necessary documentation such as activity reports and progress notes. They must also communicate effectively with participants and interdisciplinary staff and complete all academic assignments.

Requirements summary

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a therapeutic recreation degree program from an accredited university and eligible to complete the internship for academic credit, typically requiring a minimum of 560 hours over 14 weeks under a ctrs. Candidates must be 18 or older, pass a background check, and possess a current cpr/First aid certificate.
