Job description

  • This part-time position will assist in the implementation of an initiative in the city of Martinsville & Henry County supporting parents and families.
  • Must be knowledgeable of evidence-based prevention strategies, promotion of healthy family dynamics, impact of adverse experiences on family members, and delivery of parent education resources.
  • Requires excellent communication skills and experience working pleasantly and cooperatively with a wide variety of people.
  • Position will have space at assigned medical offices to work with referred patients.
  • Position requires local travel and generally operates during regular business hours.
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours may be needed to accommodate needs or requests.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Services, Education, or related field required.
  • Two years' experience in community work or community-centered mental health awareness and promotion activities preferred.
  • Salary is commensurate with education & experience as it relates to the position.
