Job description
- Student placements are coordinated with the University and School District to be placed in a classroom setting to observe and experience teaching.
- Placements are students in the School of Education that are working towards a Colorado Teacher License.
- Students are placed in certification appropriate levels/grades: Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary and K-12th certification.
- Placements in secondary education are content specific.
- Special Education placements are within the spectrum needs for special education.
- Students must submit fingerprints to School of Education, for background check through the CBI and FBI.
- Fingerprints are on file with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. *Professor will not place a student until fingerprints and admission requirements are complete.
- Application Procedure: Please advise, in order to become a Student Teacher with Aurora Public Schools, you must apply online and complete the Teacher Insight Assessment as well as a district background check.
