Description Assistant Dance Coach – St. Michael the Archangel High School

Position Overview The Assistant Dance Coach supports the head coach in developing a competitive and faith-centered dance program that supports the school in spirit. This role is responsible for helping student-athletes grow in technical dance ability, teamwork, discipline, and character while upholding and modeling Catholic values. They should be available for games, practices and performance and collaborate with the head coach on scheduling, communication, and team management.

Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and leading practices focused on proper dance technique, conditioning, and performance quality Collaborate with the head coach on scheduling, communication, and team management Provide individualized feedback to dancers to support growth and skill development Supervise and support dancers during games, competitions, and team events Promote a positive, respectful, and disciplined team environment

Qualifications

Be a practicing Catholic or demonstrate a strong commitment to Catholic teachings and values Support the spiritual development of student-athletes in alignment with the school’s mission Experience in dance (performance, instruction, or coaching) Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively Availability to attend practices, games, competitions, and team events (including evenings and weekends)
