Requirements

21 years of age or older. 12 semester hours or college credits in early childhood development, child development, child psychology, or the equivalent OR hold a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or Montessori Certificate Must have an understanding of the development of children. Must have the skills to work with children, family members, department staff, community agencies, and fellow staff. Ability to handle finances and plan and evaluate programs. Must be able to pass a background check. Ability to multi-task and lead group activities (arts & crafts, sports, games, etc). Prior camp experience (preferred). Working Conditions: Supervising and accounting for kids ages 5-12 Ensuring the safety of all camp kids Supporting fellow Camp Counselors and cooperating as a team Standing and moving to facilitate activities
