Summary Under the supervision of the Training Center Manager, the Community Training Center Nurse Educator will assume the role of instructor and training center faculty for the MUSC Community Training Center in the provision of American Heart Association Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) programs and other training classes as designated. Job Description

Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a minimum of three years of nursing clinical practice required; two years of which in critical care nursing highly desired. Master’s degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred. A Masters Degree in Nursing may be substituted for 1 year of required experience. Extensive knowledge of current trends and practices of the nursing profession is needed. Knowledge in current competency-based evaluation of practice outcomes required. Ability to use a computer with word, excel and MS Office applications. Licensure/Certification: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
