Job description
Student placements are coordinated with the University and School District to be placed in a classroom setting to observe and experience teaching.
Placements are students in the School of Education that are working towards a Colorado Teacher License. Students are placed in certification appropriate levels/grades: Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary and K-12th certification. Placements in secondary education are content specific. Special Education placements are within the spectrum needs for special education.
Students must submit fingerprints to School of Education, for background check through the CBI and FBI. Fingerprints are on file with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
*Professor will not place a student until fingerprints and admission requirements are complete.
Application Procedure
Please advise, in order to become a Student Teacher with Aurora Public Schools, you must apply online and complete the Teacher Insight Assessment as well as a district background check.
