Core responsibilities

Provides individualized academic, behavioral, and daily living support to elementary students with disabilities as outlined in their ieps. Monitors classroom activities and collects data on student goals under the direction of a special education teacher.

Requirements summary

Must meet district paraprofessional qualifications and pass annual written and physical exams for de-Escalation and restraint. Requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting students and providing personal hygiene assistance.
