Description SUMMARY

The Employment Training Specialist supports individuals with disabilities to identify employment goals, build workplace skills, and succeed in competitive, integrated jobs. This community-based role includes hands-on coaching, employer collaboration, and timely documentation to meet program and funding requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned: Complete person-centered assessments to identify interests, strengths, and employment goals Build relationships with employers and community partners to identify and secure job opportunities Provide on-site and off-site job coaching to teach job tasks, promote independence, and support retention Develop and implement individualized employment and training plans aligned with person-centered planning Benefits include but not limited to: 401K Employer Match Health, dental and vision insurance Group Life Insurance Paid Time off Tuition Assistance 12 paid Holidays

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required with one-year related experience in vocational services, supported employment, workforce development, or human services preferred. Valid NYS Class D driver’s license.
