Position Summary
Kramer School of Nursing invites applications for one nine-month, clinical instructor or assistant professor of nursing position beginning in fall 2026. The rank will depend upon the qualifications of the finalists.
Minimum Qualifications
• Both clinical and teaching experience are preferred, but related professional credentials will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Oklahoma RN license or multi-state compact required
- MSN required, terminal degree preferred.
- At least two (2) years of nursing practice experience required.
Job Duties
- Teaching, Scholarship, and Service Requirement
- Prepare and conduct courses in conformity with objectives of the university, Kramer School of Nursing, and approving accrediting agencies.
- Evaluate student learning, skills, and abilities; and maintain records of such evaluations.
- Engage in scholarship that supports Kramer School of Nursing’s mission.
- Serve as a resource person in areas of expertise and to other faculty and personnel of the community.
- Act as advisor to nursing students for the promotion of excellence in academic and clinical practice.
- Serve the university and the Kramer School of Nursing, including committee work as appropriate.
- Adhere to all policies within the Oklahoma City University Faculty Handbook and the KSN Employee Handbook.
- Participate in university activities and professional organizations as a member.
- Participate in the school’s assessment program and in student recruiting and retention efforts for the school and the university.
- Additional compensation is provided for optional summer teaching assignments.
Other duties as assigned.
