Full-Time Nursing Faculty Hondros College of Nursing Columbus, OH

Hondros College of Nursing is looking for a dynamic BSN prepared Nurse to teach Full-Time at our Columbus Campus!

Essential

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Instruct students in the classroom, lab, and/or clinical setting
  • Promote a positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively to assure full implementation of the curriculum
  • Participate as members of the Faculty Organization and Campus Curriculum Committees
  • Recommend strategies for student success
  • Tutor students to assist in meeting course objectives
  • Implement the clinical experience component of the program, if applicable
  • Evaluate each student’s achievement and progress and provide valuable feedback

Compensation, Benefits & Schedule

  • Full-Time flexible off-site clinical-based scheduling which generally consists of 40 hours per week (generally no Sundays or Holiday scheduling!)

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Hondros College of Nursing follows the requirements set by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, and the states in which our campuses operate.
  • Three or more years full-time work experience as a RN (or part-time equivalent).
  • Active Ohio RN license that has never been encumbered
  • Ability to provide official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution.
  • Current (or ability to obtain) American Heart Association compliant Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 1 year Nursing Lecturing experience at an accredited University is strongly recommended.

General Credentialing Requirements

  • Applicants selected and receiving an offer of employment will be required to complete key credentialing requirements for clinical placements prior to being cleared for start. Full detailed information is provided at time of offer. A summary of requirements includes:
  • Providing copies of official transcripts for all degrees earned
  • Providing a copy of current American Heart Association BLS or ACLS CPR card
  • Completion of a physical form (from within the last 12 months)
  • Immunization documentation for:
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR
  • TDAP/Tetanus
  • TB (2 step)
  • Varicella
  • FLU (October 1 – April 1 hires)
