  • Purpose: A Lower Elementary Physical Education Teacher at Summit Christian Academy is responsible for providing a nurturing and faith-based environment that promotes physical fitness, motor skill development, teamwork, and healthy habits for students in grades K-3. The teacher will encourage students to grow physically, socially, and spiritually while fostering a love for movement and honoring God through wellness and sportsmanship.

Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment that encourages students to grow physically, socially, and spiritually. Teach age-appropriate skills including coordination, movement, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle habits. Utilize a variety of activities, games, and instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Assess and monitor student progress in physical development and participation, providing encouragement and support for continued growth. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and the wider school community to support the holistic development of students. Participate in school events, activities, and professional development opportunities to further the mission and vision of Summit Christian Academy. Uphold and model Christian principles in all interactions with students, staff, and the community.
