Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties began in 1995 and now serves over 2200 club members each year at multiple club locations. The Club is currently working with community partners to establish additional club sites in underserved communities.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Site Coordinator, the Youth Development Professional is responsible for creating and helping implement a variety of programs in the areas of the Arts, Health and Life Skills, Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, and Sports, Fitness, and Recreation. Youth Development Professionals visibly enjoy working with children and create an environment that is safe and fun while helping members build confidence and skills. The Youth Development Professional fosters positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community members. job functions Plans and implements activities for youth that give them a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence utilizing existing curriculum from Boys & Girls Clubs of America in addition to local initiatives. Works with the Site Coordinator to set up community relationships which benefit the Club and its members. Establishes a program setting that ensures the health and safety of members. Promotes and markets programs to Club members. Provides active supervision of all youth Ensure that all licensing regulations are being followed. Contributes to the creation of the Club’s overall climate for youth development and success. Outreach and recruitment. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications 18 years of age or older. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to remain poised, positive, and energetic in a busy work environment. Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems. High school education or higher Previous experience working with youth preferred. Cleared background check CPR/First Aid Card (preferred).
