About the Role

Concorde Education is seeking an engaging French Instructor to lead after-school language enrichment programs for students (grade band varies by assignment). This role focuses on building foundational French communication skills through interactive, student-centered instruction. Instructors lead small to mid-sized groups in a structured but fun environment, emphasizing speaking, listening, and cultural exploration. Programs are typically 10 weeks, with flexibility to adapt pacing based on student needs and site logistics. What You’ll Teach Students will develop introductory French language skills and cultural awareness through hands-on, participation-driven lessons. Topics may include: Greetings, introductions, and everyday conversational phrases Numbers, dates, and time High-frequency vocabulary (school, family, hobbies, food) Basic sentence structure and common verbs Listening and speaking through games, role-play, and guided dialogue Introductory reading and writing (as appropriate) French and Francophone culture (traditions, geography, music, food) Key Responsibilities Lead engaging, structured after-school sessions aligned to program goals Prioritize student participation, especially speaking and listening Adapt instruction for different skill levels and group sizes Maintain a safe, inclusive, and classroom-appropriate environment Track attendance and communicate with program staff as needed Deliver a culminating activity or project showcasing student learning

Qualifications
