Position Summary
The Regional Training Specialist plays a key role in strengthening the skills, confidence, and performance of our workforce across assigned regions. This field-based, generalist role is responsible for delivering and reinforcing training, supporting onboarding and orientation, and providing real-time coaching and development to staff and managers. This position emphasizes relationship-building, practical application, and responsiveness, ensuring that training translates into high-quality, person-centered support. The Specialist partners closely with program leadership to identify training needs, address skill gaps, and support compliance with Pennsylvania regulations (6100 and 6400). Regular travel within assigned regions is required. Key responsibilities include but aren’t limited to deliver orientation, annual, and required trainings across assigned regions, provide just-in-time training and problem-solving support to staff and supervisors, ensure compliance with required training standards (6100 / 6400, medication, safety, crisis intervention), build strong relationships with program leadership and serve as a trusted training resource, reinforce person-centered practices, safety standards, and clinical supports, and utilize training technology and LMS tools to support delivery and documentationQualificationsQualifications · Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required · Experience in human services, training, staff development, or a related field preferred · Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities strongly preferred · Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills · Ability to work independently in a dynamic, field-based environment · Comfort using technology to support training and communication Certifications & Requirements · Ability to obtain Pennsylvania ODP Medication Administration Trainer certification · Crisis Intervention and Prevention Certification · CPR/First Aid Instructor certification (preferred or attainable) · Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required Why Join Arc Human Services · Meaningful work that empowers others and strengthens communities · Collaborative, mission-driven culture · Opportunities for professional growth and development · Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits
